This STCW security training is also applicable for crewmembers of yachts that fall under SOLAS. As a DNV certified maritime training centre, IMSN can provide training at our training facilities or aboard vessels while sailing underway.
In addition to our Training and Yacht Services Divisions, IMSN’s Force Protection Division provides highly trained security teams for deployment on commercial vessels transiting high-risk waters with a focus on the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean. IMSN stresses various non-lethal deterrence methods, as part of our force continuum philosophy, to mitigate the risks of potentially hostile situations. But should deterrence fail, IMSN emphasizes defense through preparedness and proper training. Our force protection division, comprised of the highest caliber individuals with Special Forces or related military background, can provide armed and unarmed security teams. Our security specialists can run force-on-force drills and exercises to test security measures and plans for vessels and port facilities.
